When first constructed, Notre Dame was painted in vivid colors, which have since faded to gray.

The 10 bells, averaging 5 tons each, have unique names: Emmanuel, Marie, Gabriel, Anne Genevià¨ve, Denis, Marcel, Étienne, Benoà®t-Joseph, Maurice and Jean-Marie
