Aeon Tours: Paris Catacombs

The Return of the Paris Catacombs

The Parisian Catacombs, created in 1786 to avoid the risks from an epidemic in the cemeteries outside Paris, have always aroused a morbid curiosity, starting with Napoleon III who visited them in 1860. After 3 months of renovation work, the catacombs are open to the public once again.

You can visit them independently, or with our Group Catacombs Tour or on one of our our Private Catacombs tours.
