Getting there

Metro: M12 to Jules Joffrin; M2, M12 to Pigalle; M2 to Anvers, M12 to Abbesses
Bus: 30 - 31 - 80 - 85 (Anvers Sacré-Coeur bus stop at foot of Montmartre)


Admission

Entrance is free.


Hours

Basilica main entrance: Everyday from 6 AM to 10:30 PM

Dome and Crypt: Everyday from 8:30 AM to 8 PM (May to September) and 9 AM to 5 PM (October to April)


Tips

Visit on Christmas Eve to attend the organ concert at 10:30 PM.

Ascend to the top of of the dome for a spectacular panoramic view.


Quick facts

Not just a religious monument, the Sacre Coeur also marks the defeat of France in the Franco-Prussian War and the neighborhood home of the socialist Paris Commune of 1871.
